Nothing's Virgin Here

The Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye Whiskey – SOLD OUT

The Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye Whiskey is the first-ever rye whiskey released by the award-winning Blue Run Spirits.

The Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye Whiskey is the fourth whiskey released from Blue Run Spirits, since their first product launch in October 2020. The whiskey is a small-batch, super-premium whiskey coming from 91 select barrels. The bottle is adorned with an oxidized version of the Blue Run’s signature viceroy butterfly emblem. There is a green neck strip with gold accents indicating the bottle number and the date it was bottled.

The Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye Whiskey gets its name ‘Golden Rye Whiskey’ for both the color of the choice grains used in the creation process and the awards that the whiskey has garnered.

As any bartender or whiskey maker will tell you, Rye Whiskey can be a tough horse to train. Our goal with our Golden Rye was to make it just as approachable as our Bourbons, but still, maintain spicy elements that are the hallmark of Ryes. I think we were able to achieve the drinkability of Bourbon with the pronounced personality of Rye.”

said Mike Montgomery, CEO, and Co-Founder of Blue Run Spirits, in a prepared statement.

The whiskey won a Gold Medal at the prestigious 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition before it was publicly released. The whiskey was launched to the public on September 6th. The entire collection got sold out within a week in the U.S because of its super-premium taste.

“A great whiskey brand always starts with a great liquid and we couldn’t be prouder that our Bourbons are being recognized as being best in class. Our vision to pair whiskey icon Jim Rutledge with Devon McKinney’s modernized approach to design has proven to be a winning combination as we continue to broaden today’s audience of Bourbon drinkers.”

said Mike Montgomery, CEO of Blue Run Spirits to the Cision PR Web.
