The Peaky Blinders, a hit gangster drama show, and the oldest licensed Irish whiskey distillery since 1608, Bushmills have made their partnership official.
The television series is created by Steven Knight. The series frames its characters around the true story of The Shelby Family. The story is based on a gangster family of Irish-Romani origin set in Birmingham, England, starting in 1919- Tommy Shelby and co. The story gives an insight into the notorious, ambitious, historic, and dangerous world of the Perky Blinders gang.
Running on the sixth and final season, the series has made its official partnership with the oldest licensed Bushmills Whiskey Distillery. This partnership will officially be featured from St. Patrick’s Day until the end of 2022.

This collaboration also includes a special cocktail, the “Shelby Sour” which can be ordered free of cost by fans at the whiskey bars that carry Bushmills.
Maxim’s website also presents a recipe for the Shelby Sour cocktail. The fans can whip up this cocktail at home and be ready for the Sunday premiere of the show.
The Shelby Sour
Ingredients:
- 2oz Bushmills Original
- 0.75oz Orange Liqueur
- 0.50oz Lemon Juice
- 0.25oz Simple Syrup
- 1 Mint Sprig
Process:
- In an iced mixing tin, combine all ingredients
- Shake
- Double strain over Iced rocks glass
- Garnish w/ Mint sprig and Orange Peel
