Wuliangye Yibin Co., Ltd. is a Chinese Beverage Company that specializes in the production and distributing of Wuliangye Baijiu, beverage, and refined tea. The company is known as the “Chinese Liquor Capital”. The company was founded in 1998 and headquartered on the bank of the Minjiang River, north of Yibin City, Sichuan Province in South-West China.
In 2021, Wuliangye Yibin Company made revenue of approx. $ 6.8 billion. The company mixes modern techniques and ancient baijiu-making processes with producing in a natural eco-environment to produce the top-notch popular Wuliangye spirits.
This spirit-making still follows the traditional production process. The technique starts with mixing 5 different kinds of cereal (broomcorn, rice, glutinous rice, wheat, and corn), with “Baobaoqu” yeast for fermentation in aged & years-long brewing to a final appropriate blen
The ancient cellar group of Wuliangye is China’s oldest existing crypt-type fermentation pits group, passed down from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A.D.). The Company distributes its products mainly in the domestic market.
Awards
Wuliangye spirits were awarded the gold prize at the Panama International Exposition in 1915. In 1995, it was chosen as “Chinese King of Wine Industry” at International Statistical Congress. The spirits also won more than 100 prestigious international awards, including ‘National Famous Liquor’, ‘National Quality Management Award’, the ‘Best Credit Enterprise in China’, the ‘Centennial Expo’ and the ‘100 Year Golden Award’. In 2008, the traditional baijiu-making techniques of Wuliangye were listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. In 2015, it won the gold medal in the Milan Expo, an achievement of a 100-year-old brand. In 2017, the brand value of Wuliangye ranked No. 60 in the “top 500 Asian brands”, No. 100 in the “Top 500 Most Valuable Brands in the World” and No. 338 in the “top 500 World Brands”.
