- 45 ml tequila
- 15 ml Triple Sec
- 15ml fresh lime juice or lemon juice
- Salt – for rimming
Add tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a glass over Crushed ice.
One of the earliest stories is of the margarita being invented in 1938 by Carlos “Danny” Herrera at his restaurant Rancho La Gloria, halfway between Tijuana and Rosarito, Baja California, created for the customer and former Ziegfeld dancer Marjorie King, who was allergic to many spirits, but not to tequila.
