Blue lagoon


  • 45ml Vodka
  • 15ml Blue Curacao
  • Lemonade (top up)
  • Garnish: Cherry

Add the vodka, blue curaçao and lemonade to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a hurricane glass over crushed ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.


It’s believed that the Blue Lagoon was created by Andy MacElhone, the son of famed bartender Harry MacElhone, at Harry’s New York Bar in Paris in the 1960s or early 1970s. So, the drink predates the 1980 movie of the same name.
