Drinks to celebrate the special moments from the “Game of Thrones”
“There’s no story so good a drink won’t make it better.” — Thoros of Myr ( Game Of Thrones)
Warner Bros. Consumer Products have recently teamed up with Danish brewing brand Mikkeller for a multi-year contract to brew some winter-themed beers. Mikkeller and Warner Bros. announced the release of their three GOT inspired beers on the 11th of October and since then the fans are on the seventh heaven.
“As the beers are launched right up to winter, and winter plays a significant role in Game of Thrones, it made sense to find inspiration for the beers in Westeros’ frozen, dark world,”
says Mikkel Bjergsø, founder and creative director of Mikkeller.
Night King Double IPA, Ghost Visions lager and Castle Black Stout are the names of the three drinks that are to be rolled out in the market from next week. These beers are carefully designed to pay a tribute to the glorious show and celebrate the theme “Winter is Here”.
Night King Double IPA:
A fruity New England style Double IPA that is proven to be 8% ABV is based on the character of the army commander of the White Walkers. According to the story, the commander was a fearsome character that was specially created to destroy the Westors. The Night Double IPA beer is designed in a similar way to give you the chills of the snow-capped North.
Ghost Visions lager:
Strongly influenced by the character of Ghost, an albino wolf who was a loyal companion to Jon Snow, Mikkeller’s have produced this unique clean, light and fresh lager called the Ghost Visions Lager. The beer is proven to be 4.5% ABV and has a flavour that will make any GOT lover nostalgic.
Castle Black Stout:
Influenced by the Bastion of The Night’s Watch, Caste Black Stout is an imperial oatmeal stout aged in bourbon barrels and proven to be 11.3% ABV. The royal flavors of Castle Black Stout will definitely take the fans on a tour of Game of Thrones’ Castle Black surrounded by the massive Ice Wall.
These amazing, gothic and interesting drinks will be available in the markets from the 15th of October and will also be sold on Mikkeller’s official website. You can even avail the limited edition packs, gift hampers and exclusive merchandise from the selected retail stores.
